The firm began in 1989 as Schafer Law Offices, founded by Timothy J. Schafer, and later became Schafer Thomas Maez PC as Karina Thomas and Susan Maez joined the partnership. We have served clients from the same Broomfield location for more than 30 years, building a trusted practice known for thoughtful planning, careful drafting, and steady advice through life’s transitions. Clinton Carlisle and Molly Barnett worked alongside Tim, Karina, and Susan for years before their retirement, learning from their example and helping to carry their approach into the next generation of the firm.
Today, that legacy continues under the leadership of Clinton and Molly as Carlisle Barnett PC. We are a small, focused team that takes the time to get to know each client, including the dynamics of blended families and multigenerational planning. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.
